I use this as my everyday bike, it's just the way I ride. Since Schwinn voided my "Lifetime" warranty when they sold out to Pacific cycles and now make junk bikes, I went looking for a new Brand to be a loyal customer of. I found it. This thing is unreal, superlight, fast, and appears durable(I haven't had it long), it steers by thought. My dealer fit it to me and even contacted Trek several times to make sure it was right and even did 2 sets of measurements. Staff was unreal. The only con is some cable rattle inside the downtube however I've never owned a bike like this so it's new to me and not constant as it only happens on rough roads. Awesome bike glad i got a TREK....

I'm a competitive triathlete usually finishing on the podium in my age group and top 10% overall. I also have a Trek Equinox 9.5 with a FSA carbon crank. I bought this bike to keep at my vacation house. After a few rides on the SC 2.5 I couldn't believe it!!! I actually think it's faster than the Equinox which cost 3 times as much. Trek has obviously nailed the aerodynamics on this machine. Any cross wind (with slight tail) really gives you a boost. Much more so than on any other aero frame I've ridden. The ride isn't too harsh for aluminum. The bike may feel heavy compared to other brands, but the aerodynamic advantage makes up for it. You may be slower to accellerate or climb, but once up to speed you'll fly. On the downside, I'm not in love with the SRAM shifters. Also, the web between my thumb and index finger gets pinched in the bontrager brake levers at times. Overall I'd highly recommend this bike.

I use this bike in the triathlon series that I race in. I used to race on a Trek 1.2 that I converted into a tri bike. I was pretty successful with that bike, but had never got on the podium till I brought the SC to race. Out of my 2 races in the past month, I've placed 3rd in my group both times and have improved my bike times by 4 minutes in a Sprint and almost 14 in a half iron distance.

When i got the SC 2.5 i thought it was going to be heavy and very hard to use but when i went and rode it for the first time i loved it. Even though it made from aluminum and not carbon fiber it was still fast. It like a ghost when you ride it; it vanishes. If you have a budget of about $2500, this is the tt bike for you.
