Bontrager’s Ion 2 Headlight offers superb illumination for nighttime riding. Offering a 1-watt super-bright LED, this brilliant light is visible from 2,000 feet and gives you 270 degrees of visibility for serious safety. The 22-lumen light has high, low and strobe settings so you can customize your run time. It comes with a universal mounting bracket that attaches to handlebars, posts, and some helmet vents.
I keep this light in a shoulder bag and attach when the light conditions outside get low.
Great value, good brightness, solid product.

I have this light on my commuter bike and use it a couple times a week. The flash mode is super bright and very noticeable. There is also a low beam setting to save battery. The clamp is simple to move from bike to bike and most importantly, it stays put when riding! Batteries seem to last forever. I have only changed them once in a year.

The included bracket makes it very easy to add and remove from the bike as needed and the button is easy to use with full finger gloves. Rode iwht it in the rain yesterday and it appears to be very waterproof.

Worked well for a while, but now it goes out when I hit any bumps in the road and is essentially useless. I hope that there is a warranty available.

I need a light that I can count on as I ride in the dark. The first Ion 2 lasted about a week, then started cutting out everytime I hit a bump. My bike store replaced it, the second one lasted about 200k before it started doing the same thing.
If you are looking for a light to keep you safe in the dark, this is not it.

This light casts a brroad pool with a bright hot spot. It works well as a tool for being seen and for basic road illumination for casual riding or commuting at night. The mount is versatile and allows for positioning and focusing on a variety of handlebar designs. Bought for my 12 year old son's school commute, it's withstood lots of jarring and bounces without any problems. He's quite pleased and we parents are, too, knowing he has a quickly removable, very useful light.

This light is very bright, great for being seen, however going over sharp bumps on the road causes it to stop working. The first light did this and I had it replaced under warranty. The replacement is doing the exact same thing and I will be heading back to the store to see about exchanging it for one from a different manufacturer. This may not be a problem on a bike with a suspension where the light won't be jolted as much by bumps on the street, (I ride a road bike).
