I prefer MTB shoes for my road bikes because I often go straight to the gym after riding and they are easy to work out with so when it was time get new shoes I went straight to my LBS, my go to shop due to the friendly, no pressure atmosphere to get a new pair. After trying on 4 different shoes and with lots of help from their super Sales Mgr and Ride Leader, I selected this shoe for the way it fits, looks and feels. The generous 30 day return policy also helped in my decision. It was reassuring to know that I can always bring it back if I discover any negative fit or performance issues after I put some rides into it.I have about 100 miles on the shoe now with some 5-6000 ft of climbing I have felt no pressure points, hot spots nor any form of discomfort since day one. Bontrager put a lot of thought in to where the straps cinch down and how the ratchet works so nothing digs into my foot as I pedal.The only negative I observed is that sometimes the soles can slip on the pedal face (Time ATAC) when I am trying to click in after rolling out from a stop, although the fact that I am normally a size 10 and the shoe that fit me is an 11 might also be a negative if someone is buying this shoe without trying it on first (mail order).All in all, a great shoe for the money. Highly recommend.
