I got these shoes at the end of the 2012 season to replace a pair of Specialized shoes I had for almost 20 years. What I had liked about the Specialized is that they were so light. When I went looking for replacements I had a terrible time finding non-road shoes that were light. I ride a hybrid - I'm not a mountain biker and I'm not a racer. I ride 25-40 miles at a shot, and I like to be able to get off the bike and walk around a town to get lunch, etc.
These shoes fit the bill perfectly. They're sturdy but not as heavy and clunky as others I tried, which is a huge plus. They are easy to get on and the three velcro flaps make it possible to adjust them perfectly. They give good support as I ride and I'm able to walk fine in them. I would highly recommend them.
