Continental Ultra GatorSkin (27-inch & 700c)

Continental's Ultra GatorSkin combines 3 flat-protection technologies into one fast-riding, high-mileage racing and training tire. It features a super-fine 180 thread-per-inch casing, a bead-to-bead layer of DuraSkin, and is finished with a Kevlar-reinforced top layer. The result is a light tire that rolls and corners with the best of them while providing flat protection second to none.

Features and Information

  • Close-up of the tread.
  • Continental's DuraSkin is a layer of proprietary polyamide sidewall casing that provides exceptional protection from cuts, punctures and abrasions.

I live on an island with tough roads and lots of glass. These have been the best tires I have ever had while living here for 12 years and cycling on these roads.

It has been over 5 years and 10,000 miles since the last flat with this tire and that was a pinch flat. I have 5000 miles on the current set of tires. Been using these tires for over ten years and only one on the road flat. A Great Tire.

Very durable tires, especially if you skid stop a bunch. Very resistant to puctures. I think the above reviewer just dosen't keep their air pressure up.

              Comments:

I bought these tires at B&L because i had heard good things about them. They're terrible, well either the ones i got were faulty or they're just all terrible i went through 5 flats in a month. I am very disappointed in these tires. I was careful about not riding on glass and stuff like that and they still got flats. These tires have made we walk many miles over the last month.
