Like it or not, we are in the era of the pro cycling superteam. After solid 2011 seasons, two of them merged, which means they're now ... what, a super-colossal team?
Regardless of the category it occupies, the new RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team is absolutely loaded. Added to the already-stacked Leopard Trek roster (the Schlecks, Fabian Cancellara, Jakob Fuglsang, Jens Voigt, et al) were the remnants of Team RadioShack — Chris Horner, Andreas Kloden, Ben King and Matt Busche, among others. Those last two represent the past two US National Champions.
The 2012 RadioShack-Nissan-Trek team jersey is a continued merging of the two teams. It takes cues from each team's design, in the end presenting a unified style for the 2012 campaign.
The jersey is made by Craft, which handled clothing detail for Leopard Trek last season. The lightweight, race-cut jersey features form-fitting tailoring, three rear pockets and a full-length, hidden zipper.
