Whether you're headed out for an all-night excursion or need max light output for that final lap, NiteRider's MiNewt Pro 750 is perfect. An amazing 750 lumens turn night into day, and run time is 1.5 to 35 hours depending on the output setting. There are high, medium and low settings plus the energy-saving walk mode which still puts out 40 lumens. Plus, the whole system weighs in at under 245 grams and attaches to both handlebars and helmets.
While this is a bright light, I find it more suited for road use rather than mountain biking on tight single track trails. The reason for this, in my opinion, is that the light beam is a wide broad beam. I used this light on my helmet only, and a magicshine on my handlebars. Maybe it would be better the other way around, but I find the magicshine beam pattern to be more narrow and throws the light out further, which I find to be better for me when in the woods.
Also I find the run time on high to be a bit low, I did not get 1.5 hours as claimed.
