David Stern, owner of an advertising agency based in Seattle, reportedly invented the smiley face icon in 1967. From the Summer of Love generation of 1967 to the Rave Scene of the 1990's, it has been used to communicate feelings of good will. The icon has gained international recognition as a reminder to not sweat the small stuff and just...you know the rest. We would just like to say....'just ride and smile.'
