Shimano's Saint Disc Brake is the pinnacle of braking. The calipers are equipped with four oversize ceramic pistons for serious power with an impressive blend of fine modulation for precise, technical velocity control. Heat is the enemy, so Shimano uses ICE technology. The brake pads are finned to dissipate heat, the rotor (sold separately) is layered with aluminum and steel that reduces the rotor temp by 100 degrees, and a longer banjo even reduces heat at the hose. All this leads to a brake that doesn't fade or squeal, and even reduces pad wear. The comfy, ergonomic Servo-Wave Levers allow excellent pad clearance and the free stroke adjustment lets you dial in the travel before pad engagement. There's even a tool-free reach adjust that lets you customize the brake lever reach on the trail.
