Shimano SLX E-Type Front Derailleur (Double Chainring/Top Swing)
Shimano's SLX Front Derailleur is made for long-travel, all-mountain bikes with a double ring set up. The compact cage design gives you improved rear tire clearance while the matched radius reduces chain drop. It's super stiff for the quick, authoritative shifts that serious mountain bikes demand. This E-Type derailleur mounts directly to your bottom bracket.
The dual-pull design allows this derailleur to be used with top- or bottom-pull cable routing.
SLX front derailleurs are offered in many configurations to suit a range of frame styles. Models FD-M660 and FD-M661 suit triple chainring cranksets, while models FD-M665 and FD-M667 are designed specifically for Mountain Compact cranksets.
