At Velogear, we're all about bikes. We love riding them, reading about them and fixing them. And when bikes are on TV, we love watching them. We want to make it easy for you to indulge your love of cycling, too. We stock cycling clothing from the best brands in the sport, along with books, DVDs, parts, accessories and more. We want to be your one-stop shop for all things cycling!
You'll ride and train better with Trek's Incite 11i. Features like current speed, trip distance, and average speed let you know just what kind of progress you're making. And, the 11i has a cadence sensor so you can optimize your pedaling and a thermometer, too! It also comes with a 150cm-long heavy-duty wire for reliability.
Instillation: Step 1 - Chuck the instructions. There, thats the hardest part, its all easy from here on out. Step 2 - Lay the bike across your bed, drive train down. Step 3 - Attach BOTH the cadence and the wheel wires to the left side chain stay (cadence unit close to the the bottom bracket, wheel unit farther out, let the wire lengths from the wire splitter dictate location, no slack) Use three zip ties for each unit, two on the unit one on the wire right next to the unit (2 zip ties for the cadence unit none on the wire, because it may be too close to the bottom bracket). Step 4 - run the wire under the bottom bracket and along the bottom side of the down tube up to the head tube. Install Zip ties as needed to keep the wire tight and against the frame. Be aware of the graphic art work on the down tube, placing zip ties in inconspicuous places. Step 5 - Zip tie at the top of the down tube/head tube to keep the wire tight. Step 6 - Wrap around the front brake cable and follow that cable to the handle bars. This is the only spot you want to wrap up extra wire. Wrap as need to use up all the extra wire, then mount the computer bracket in the desired location (handle bars, euro bars?). I mounted and removed this set up several times then found this set up by trial and error. It works great and the wires are hidden bellow the frame tubes, not hanging out all over everywhere.

Comments:
I agree that the instructions are lacking but there is a lot of help online, including the trek website, regarding how the wiring harness should be installed. Once it's on you'll be pleased with the information that this model produces, particulalrly the cadence feature. Good value for the money.

Comments:
This product came with installation instructions in several languages, but not English. There are a few cryptic diagrams, but the illustrations are drawn so vaguely it's difficult to guess what might go where. This may well be a great computer, for all I know, but it's worthless to me if I can't use it.
