Tommy Everstone - or Hurl, as he's known - was raised on bicycles and punk rock. For a lot of kids growing up in America (old-school America, that is), that was pretty standard. Maybe not the punk rock part, but the rest ... yeah. Anyway, stay with us here. At some point on the march to adulthood, bikes change from a way of life - think about where your bike took you as a kid - to a toy.

But not for Hurl. Rather than growing up, getting a car and mowing a perfect lawn every weekend, the bike remained a way of life. He started the Cars R Coffins brand as a way of striking out against the norm. It's punk rock without the music. Bikes aren't meant to be tossed away as you grow up - they can ride with you the rest of the way.
