WTB WeirWolf TCSDesigned by WTB Pro cross country and downhill racer Mark Weir, the WeirWolf features a fast-rolling, soil-piercing center tread for low-rolling resistance. Now this is where the fun starts. An extra row of transitional tread between the crown and side knobs gives the WeirWolf a positive feel and consistent traction at any lean angle, from moderate to extreme. At those extreme angles, the progressive stiffness of the outer knobs lets you carve like never before! And you finally get the best of both worlds with WTB’s TCS (Tubeless Compatible System). It combines a lightweight casing with a UST bead and a nylon insert called Inner Peace. That means they're easily converted to tubeless with sealant and rim strips. Weir will tell you that many races are won or lost in the corners, so win by using WeirWolf tires. Features and Information

Comments: First ride impression, tire hooks up very well. Remains to be seen how fast the rubber wears but previous experience with WTB tires has been good. Casing seems tough although I was running tubes, not tubeless so I can't comment on how well the TCS system works, I'm sure a cup of Stan's and it'll be fine. Stoked the AM TCS version uses the Inner Peace casing, I didn't have any qualms about running the tire a bit softer than normal. The TCS casing doesn't seem to roll over as much as a thinner casing tire at low pressure. Lastly I was impressed with how fast the tire rolled. It helps to make up for the hundred or so extra grams the Inner Peace adds. All in all a great choice for the all mountain rider, or someone who loves traction and hates pinch flats.
