Yakima Spare Joe 2Yakima's Spare Joe 2 mounts to your vehicle's spare tire and holds two bikes. Anti-sway cradles hold the bikes securely ensuring they can't bump into each other. Plus, this nifty rack can be offset to allow your bikes to be more centered behind the vehicle, and the arms fold down when not in use, for easy storage, too. Comments: I liked the idea of the locking racks but wanted to keep the tire cover on. This worked great! Pull the straps tight and it holds on for dear life! To the person who said it scratched their car: it's a spare tire rack, if it's touching your car you set it up wrong!
Pros Cons
Best Uses Comments: This rack claims to fit the Toyota Rav4 but something about the curvature of the car makes it rub against the paint just under the window. It is difficult to thread the nylon webbing behind the tire without loosening the bolts. Even when cinched down tight, it didn't seem stable. I plan to buy the "premium" rack that bolts on to the tire, which I think will work better.
